Description
A 5 pin euro cylinder keyed on both sides, so a key is required to lock or unlock from either face.
When to specify this over key and turn
A double key cylinder is more secure where there is glass next to the door, because an intruder reaching through cannot simply turn a thumb turn.
The trade off matters. Keep a key accessible inside, because in a fire or emergency nobody gets out of a double keyed door without one. For most front doors we would recommend the key and thumb turn instead unless there is a specific security reason.

Sizing
Cylinders are sized to the door thickness and the lock case. Measure from the centre fixing screw to each face of the door. Too short and the key will not turn, too long and the cylinder sits proud.
Keyed alike
Specify at order time if you want one key across several doors. It cannot be added later without replacing cylinders.

Lead time
Havolka and Ookami Studio are held in stock in Palmyra at all times. Orders placed before cut off generally dispatch the same day.
Every other brand is brought in to order, generally one to two weeks depending on the supplier and the finish.

Delivery and lead times
We supply more than twenty brands, and most product is brought in to order from our suppliers. As a general guide, allow one to two weeks from order to delivery. Some ranges arrive sooner, and we will always confirm the expected timing on your order.

Shipping

Working to a build programme?
